# Zen Planner Pricing 2026: Plans, Add-Ons and What a Gym Really Pays

## How much does Zen Planner cost in 2026?

Zen Planner publishes starting prices in US dollars: **Studio from $99 a month, Essentials from $198, Ultimate from $348**, plus a New Business Bundle from $199 for new fitness businesses. Every package scales with the number of active members, so the starting price is a floor, not a quote. It is sold month-to-month by default, with an annual contract available on request.

## Zen Planner plans and what each includes

There are three core packages that build on each other, plus a bundle for new businesses. Each step up adds one large module: a website, then marketing automation.

Studio is the operational core most gyms need: members, recurring billing, class schedules and apps for staff and members. Essentials is Studio with a website. Ultimate is Essentials with Engage, Zen Planner's marketing automation module.

## How "starting at" and active-member pricing work

A "starting at" price is the lowest price of a package, usually for the smallest member count. Your real monthly fee depends on how many active members you have.

**Active-member pricing** means the software fee grows with the number of members who currently hold an active membership, not with staff or leads. Zen Planner states that staff and prospects are free, which is useful for gyms with many coaches or a large lead list. What the page does not publish is the member bands (for example, where the price steps up) or the price per band. That part is effectively quote-based: **quote-based pricing** means the vendor sets the figure after a sales conversation about your member count, locations and modules.

In practice, a 60-member martial arts school and a 400-member CrossFit box will both see "from $99", but they will not pay the same. Ask for your price at today's member count and at the count you plan to reach in 12 months.

## Add-ons, payment processing and contract terms

Zen Planner sells four add-ons on its pricing page, and payment processing is priced separately on a custom basis.

* **Branded mobile app:** $39 a month.
* **Website:** from $99 a month (included in Essentials and Ultimate).
* **Engage (marketing automation):** from $249 a month (included in Ultimate).
* **EMV card readers:** $39 a month.
* **Payment processing:** Zen Planner Payments has custom pricing. The page says there is no setup or gateway fee when you use one of its select preferred processors.
* **Onboarding:** free onboarding and data migration are stated.
* **Contract:** month-to-month by default; an annual contract is available on request.
* **Free trial:** not stated on the pricing page.

One detail is worth doing the maths on. Studio from $99 plus the Website add-on from $99 equals the Essentials starting price of $198\. Studio plus Website plus Engage would be $447 at starting prices, while Ultimate starts at $348\. If you want all three, the bundle is cheaper at starting prices.

## What Zen Planner costs at realistic sizes

Because the member bands are not published, the honest answer is a minimum monthly cost per setup, not an exact total. The table uses only published starting prices and excludes payment processing, which is custom-priced.

## Is Zen Planner worth it? Best for and not the right fit

Zen Planner makes sense for small US gyms that want free migration, month-to-month terms and a low starting price. It is less predictable for fast-growing gyms, because the price follows active members.

**Best for:**

* CrossFit boxes, martial arts schools and small gyms that want member-based pricing from a Daxko-owned vendor.
* Gyms that want payroll inside the same system, which is listed in Studio.
* Owners who value free onboarding and data migration and no long contract.
* Gyms that want a branded app at a low add-on price of $39 a month.

**Not the right fit for:**

* Gyms that need a fixed software bill as membership grows, since the fee scales with active members.
* Owners who want to see the full price before talking to sales: the member bands and processing rates are not published.
* Gyms outside the US that need prices in their own currency; the page lists USD.

**When Trainera is not the right choice:** if you need payroll, automated email and SMS marketing campaigns like Engage, or a very low entry price for a gym with only a few dozen members, Zen Planner's Studio at $99 may suit you better. ## How to get an exact Zen Planner quote

Ask for a written quote that covers your real member count and every item you plan to use. These questions close the gaps the pricing page leaves open:
