Virtuagym vs Glofox in 2026: Pricing Models, Features and Fit
Virtuagym and Glofox both sell on quote, so you cannot compare list prices. This neutral 2026 comparison explains what drives each quote, the features that decide the choice, and which gyms and studios each one fits.

Virtuagym vs Glofox: the short answer
Virtuagym and Glofox are both quote-based: neither publishes a price, so on 25 September 2026 both were price on request. Virtuagym is positioned for gyms and coaching businesses, many of them in Europe, that want club management and coaching apps in one system. Glofox, part of the ABC Fitness group, is positioned for boutique studios and gyms that want members to book in an app carrying the studio's own brand.
So the choice is not about who is cheaper on paper. It is about which product model fits your business and which written quote gives the better 12-month total. This page compares both on pricing model, what drives each quote, the features that change the decision, branded apps, payments and languages, using the approach described in how we compare fitness software.
Virtuagym vs Glofox at a glance
On public information the two look almost identical: no list price, no published fees, a form instead of a price table. The differences are in positioning and in how each sales process is set up.

Pricing: two quote models, different inputs
Quote-based pricing means the vendor gives each business its own offer after a call instead of publishing a price list. Because neither vendor publishes a figure, we do not estimate one; what we can explain is what each quote is built on.
What drives a Glofox quote
The Glofox pricing page is a quote request form, and it is organised around two inputs: your type of business (for example a boutique studio or a gym) and your number of locations. Beyond those, a quote like this usually moves with your membership size, the modules you add, above all the branded member app, onboarding and the contract length. Glofox does not publish a setup fee, processing rates or a trial. Our Glofox pricing guide goes through each line item.
What drives a Virtuagym quote
Virtuagym's pricing link redirects to a form offering a 25-minute demo and pricing, so the price comes out of a sales conversation. For club management software of this kind, the quote usually depends on active members, locations and modules: scheduling and memberships, the member app, coaching and nutrition features, marketing tools and access control can each change the number. Onboarding, data migration and contract terms come on top. You may find older Virtuagym tier prices on third-party sites; we could not verify them against the current page, so do not budget with them. The Virtuagym pricing guide has the full question list.
How to make the two quotes comparable
Ask both vendors for the same thing in writing: a 12-month total for your exact number of members and locations, with the member app, payment processing on your expected card volume, onboarding, migration and the minimum contract term on separate lines. Our guide to what gym management software costs lists the hidden items to ask about, and the fitness software pricing index 2026 shows where vendors with public prices sit.
Features that decide the choice
Both cover the everyday core of a gym or studio: class schedules, online booking, memberships and card payments. The decision usually turns on how much coaching you deliver, whose brand members see, and where your business operates.
Club plus coaching vs studio booking
Virtuagym's positioning combines club management with coaching apps, so it tends to suit gyms where trainers build workout and nutrition programs for members, and hybrid businesses that coach people outside the gym too. Glofox's positioning centres on the class and booking experience of boutique studios. If your revenue is mostly class packs and memberships, the booking flow matters most; if personal training and programs are a large share, look closely at the coaching side in the demo.
Branded member app
A branded member app is an app in the App Store and Google Play under your gym's name and logo, instead of a shared app where your gym is one of many. Glofox has built its positioning around this. Virtuagym does not publish its app options on the pricing path. For both, ask whether the app is included or an add-on, who publishes it, and in whose developer account it sits. Our guide to gym software with a branded member app lists what to check.
Payments and reporting
Both handle memberships and card payments, and neither publishes processing rates. Ask for card and direct debit rates, whether you can use your own payment provider, and compare the effective rate on your own monthly volume, since a small difference in percentage adds up over a year.
Languages and regions
Neither pricing page states which languages the staff dashboard and member app support. Virtuagym's focus on European gyms makes it a natural shortlist entry for gyms on the continent, while Glofox sits in the ABC Fitness group. If your members or staff need a language other than English, ask for the demo in that language.
Which should you pick? A decision table
Start from what matters most and follow the row. If two rows point different ways, let the two written quotes decide.
| If this matters most | Lean toward | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Members booking classes in an app under your studio's name | Glofox | Its positioning is built around the branded member app for boutique studios |
| Trainers delivering workout and nutrition programs | Virtuagym | It positions itself as club management plus coaching apps |
| Coaching clients online as well as in the gym | Virtuagym | Coaching apps are part of its core offer |
| Already using other ABC Fitness products | Glofox | Glofox is part of the ABC Fitness group |
| Several locations | Either, on quote | Both quote per business; Glofox asks for the number of locations up front |
| Knowing a price before any sales call | Neither | Both are price on request; see the section below |

Best for and not the right fit for
Both are established platforms; each is a weaker match for a different kind of business.
- Virtuagym is best for gyms and coaching businesses, especially in Europe, that want club management and coaching apps in one system.
- Virtuagym is not the right fit for an owner who wants to compare list prices online, or a pure class studio that will not use the coaching side it pays for.
- Glofox is best for boutique studios and gyms that want a member app carrying their own brand and are comfortable negotiating a quote.
- Glofox is not the right fit for an owner who wants public prices, or a business whose main product is personal coaching and programming rather than classes.
If you already plan to leave one of them, our lists of Virtuagym alternatives and Glofox alternatives cover the wider field.
Questions to ask both sales teams
A quote is only comparable if both vendors answer the same questions. Send these in writing before the demo.
- What is the monthly price for our number of active members and locations, and what is the minimum contract length?
- Which modules does that price include, and what does each excluded module cost?
- What does the branded member app cost, who publishes it, and in whose developer account does it sit?
- What are the card and direct debit rates, and can we use our own payment provider?
- Is there a setup, onboarding or migration fee, and which data do you import for us?
- Which languages do the staff dashboard and member app support?
- What happens to the price when we add members or a location, and to our data and app if we cancel?
If neither fits
If you want a published price without a sales call, Trainera is one more option to consider. Its gym plans have a public price per country with unlimited members, no per-member fee and no setup fee: Gym Core is $149 a month in the US, and White Label, which gives members the gym's own iOS and Android app, is $299; other countries have their own prices on the pricing page. Core starts with a 7-day trial, card payments run through the gym's own Stripe account with 0% platform fee, and members, packages and expiry dates can be moved over for free from a Glofox export or an Excel file. Trainera is not part of the ABC Fitness group, so it is not the right fit if you want your gym software inside that family of products. The pages Trainera vs Virtuagym and Trainera vs Glofox go into detail.
